Since its founding in 2011, Carole Alexis Dance Theatre (Ballet des Amériques) has developed an original body of artistic, choreographic, educational, cultural, and organizational work. This page serves as a public notice concerning the intellectual property and creative materials developed by the Company and Conservatory throughout this history.

All content, materials, artistic works, and intellectual property appearing on this website and associated with Carole Alexis Dance Theatre / Ballet des Amériques and its Conservatory are protected by applicable United States and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

The organization has created, developed, commissioned, produced, or maintained an extensive body of original artistic, educational, literary, photographic, audiovisual, choreographic, and promotional material since its founding in 2011. This body of work constitutes an important part of the organization's artistic and cultural legacy.

PROTECTED CONTENT

Unless otherwise expressly indicated, the following materials are protected intellectual property and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, republished, publicly displayed, performed, transmitted, adapted, or otherwise used without prior written authorization:

Original choreography and choreographic works created by Carole Alexis and/or created for the Company

Logos, graphic designs, visual identities, promotional materials, posters, programs, brochures, and marketing materials
Names, titles, slogans, distinctive artistic concepts, and other branding associated with the organization
Archival materials documenting the history and artistic development of the organization since 2011
Original materials created for performances, festivals, residencies, educational programs, outreach initiatives, and cultural projects
Any other original creative or intellectual material belonging to or controlled by the organization

CHOREOGRAPHIC AND ARTISTIC WORKS

The choreography and artistic creations of Carole Alexis are original works and form part of her artistic authorship and legacy. The unauthorized recording, reproduction, adaptation, reconstruction, teaching, publication, distribution, commercial exploitation, or presentation of these works is prohibited.

No portion of a choreographic work may be reconstructed, reproduced, taught as choreography, incorporated into another work, or otherwise exploited without appropriate authorization from the copyright holder.

CONSERVATORY MATERIALS

The educational materials, curriculum, training systems, written materials, exercises, terminology, program structures, and other original pedagogical resources developed by the Ballet des Amériques Conservatory are protected intellectual property.

Enrollment in, participation in, or attendance at Conservatory classes, rehearsals, workshops, performances, or programs does not transfer ownership or intellectual property rights to students, parents, teachers, guests, or third parties.

PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO & RECORDING

Photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, livestreams, or other recordings of Company or Conservatory classes, rehearsals, performances, auditions, workshops, or other activities may not be reproduced, commercially exploited, published, distributed, or used to promote another organization without prior written authorization.

Unauthorized recording or distribution of protected artistic or educational material may constitute copyright infringement.

USE OF WEBSITE CONTENT

Visitors may access this website for personal, informational, and non-commercial purposes. Limited quotations or references may be made where legally permitted and where appropriate credit is provided.

However, no website content may be systematically copied, scraped, downloaded, reproduced, repackaged, sold, licensed, redistributed, or used to create competing educational, artistic, commercial, or promotional materials without prior written permission.
